Full Moon in Aries Lunar Eclipse:::
Dyn-O-Mite!
You’re not a unique little snowflake…
you’re a once in a lifetime, FIRECRACKER!
Headaches, bizarre body pain, shooting fire in your nerves, and seemingly random surges of rage for no apparent reason? Hello, bloody Moon eclipse of eclipses!
Okay, so when I sat down to write about this eclipse under the current molasses-style Mercury retro, my inner Aries planets went into a total tantrum about how I had better make this astro 411 radically fresh, or like, what’s the point! This is totally the warpath chant of this Mars-Uranus fueled eclipse: make it diabolically unique or go home. Competition is stiff in this age of instant gratification information overkill. Even those who innocently claim they don’t have a competitive bone in their body (I never buy it, but then again I am a Mars-ruled chick), are admitting to a sudden surge of needing to kill it. Competition in love, business and even within families is hitting our hot button now. This is the first of two eclipses ruled by the Red Planet, so if you’re feeling totally triggered, it shouldn’t come as a real surprise. I like to call this the “loaded gun” lunation for all intents and purposes. There’s Aries ammo and lots of it, so be careful where you’re aiming all of that fire power. Creatively, this lunation is killer in the best way. Innovative, alive and ready to blow the competition to bits. Destructively, this Blood Moon is about taking no prisoners and every man/woman for herself. Aries rules the “I am” principle of the soul, and this eclipse is prepared to pull out the heavy artillery to take you back to your true self, your essence. This may and probably won’t happen without a fight (Aries rules war). The gloves are coming off and every part of us that refuses to fight fair or follow the rules is determined to run the show now. Channel any homicidal fantasies into something constructive and life-affirmingly creative like preparing for a marathon or killing off complacency. The Moon is joined with “do as I damn well please” Uranus in Aries opposite the Sun and Venus in the “we not me” sign of Libra. Love is most definitely a battlefield at the moment, even if just internally.
Those dramatic Blood Red Moon photos circling the Web speak those 1000 words that we, astrologers could only hope to touch on. This particular eclipse has Uranus and Pluto written all over it, so expect the results to defy even the most educated guesses. Something is getting eclipsed, and most likely it has to do with whatever is codependent, whiney, played or just utterly lacking in revolutionary awesomeness in our lives. Tantrums will be thrown. Dramatic breakups and makeups are par for the course. Punching and shooting at some imagined enemy in the dark, yep! Imagine the Fool meets the Tower in the Tarot. The only thing I can safely predict is that this eclipse is sure to leave our Aries-ruled heads spinning, for days if not months until we fiercely embrace the truth that nothing and no one in the world is worth losing ourselves.
I am that I am. Soham.
