The Sun Enters Aquarius:
Looking Out For Each Other
I don’t want to live in the kind of world where we don’t look out for each other. Not just the people that are close to us, but anybody who needs a helping hand. I cant change the way anybody else thinks, or what they choose to do, but I can do my bit.
― Charles de Lint
When the Sun moves out of the traditional terrain of Capricorn and into the socially conscious ethers of Aquarius, we’re all being redirected towards our true, glorious and higher selves. No more wasting time tap-dancing and trying to be all things to all people. We realize under this influence that we are all people and they are us. We realize that we all dance to the beat of our own drummer and if someone in your family or surrounding tribe have a problem with it, that’s that’s truly their problem. This is the “to each his own” influence that celebrates all of the odd quirks and wonderful weirdness that is humanity. The Sun shines brighter when we are thinking of what’s good for the whole, the collective rather than just rushing after self-serving motives now. Even if that requires behind the scenes work, we are glowing and filled with love when we know we are indeed helping a much larger cause. This is the beauty and gift of Aquarius. We let go of our selfish and narcissistic agendas and think about hour individual actions impact the group, the family, the tribe. Now that by no means we have to succumb to a herd mentality or lose our individuality within the greater whole. On the contrary, Aquarius teaches us to hold our own so that we don’t feel we need to stand out like a sore thumb in order to feel special and important. Aquarius is the sign of goals, and the objective here is to think and act in terms of what would ideally make this world a better place.
